Technology

Our XPRIZE team takes advantage of the latest technologies to achieve our objectives. We use drones to observe and map large areas, sound recorders to capture audio data in remote locations, and DNA barcoding to identify species. This combination of cutting-edge tools helps us to achieve our goals more efficiently and accurately.

Our team utilizes two types of drones for our XPRIZE project: the Parrot Anafi and a custom heavy lift drone. The Parrot Anafi is a lightweight and portable drone that is easy to transport and can be used for quick aerial shots. It features a 4K camera, 21-minute battery life, and a maximum speed of 33 mph. Our custom heavy lift drone is designed to carry larger loads and can stay in the air up to 50 minutes with a maximum speed of 40 mph. It has 4K camera capabilities and can fly up to a distance of 6 miles. Our drones are essential tools for our XPRIZE project and provide us with the aerial data we need to succeed.

Our XPRIZE team is equipped with a variety of sensors to measure, record, and analyze data. We use sound recorders to capture audio data, cameras to document visual data, and DNA samplers to collect biological data. Sensors also allow us to track the behavior of our XPRIZE vehicle and its environment and to monitor the performance of our team. Our team is committed to using the most advanced sensors available to ensure the success of our mission.
